I was introduced to photography by my father, who constantly took pictures while exploring the unbeaten paths of Chester County, PA. During these "Adventures" to junkyards, farms, historical ruins, and construction sites, I wondered what was going on behind that camera. Eventually I borrowed a camera from my dad and began taking pictures.
Years later, I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photography, and moved home to the Philadelphia area to start my career. One of my first clients sent me to a new city every two years to photograph Philadelphia's team of organ transplant recipients competing in Olympic style events at the U.S. Transplant Games. Over the years, I developed friendships with the people I photographed and started a personal project. Three of these portraits exhibited at Focus Philadelphia, an annual members show for the Philadelphia chapter of American Society of Media Photographers. I have served on the board of directors for the Philadelphia chapter of ASMP for over seven years and currently hold the office of President.
Also a certified teacher, I have taught photography and art to children of various ages at summer art camps. I taught a course about the business of photography at Drexel University and currently teach digital and fine arts at a local high school, Downingtown STEM Academy.
Clients I've had the pleasure to work with include Campbell Soup Company, Gift of Life Donor Program, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, General Motors and Fulcrum TV/Smithsonian Networks, among others.
When I'm not taking pictures, you might find me behind a good book at the beach, in a kayak or standing in a creek attempting to fly fish. I live in beautiful Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Thank you for viewing my work!
